X-Files star Gillian Anderson is now a single woman.

The actress' rep confirmed to Us Weekly that she has split from longtime boyfriend Mark Griffiths, telling the mag, "Gillian Anderson and her partner Mark Griffiths have amicably separated after six years together." 

The never-married couple have two sons together, Oscar, 5, and Felix, 3. 

Before becoming romantically linked to Griffiths, Anderson was married to director Clyde Kotz, the father of her 17-year-old daughter, Piper, before divorcing in 1997. The actress was also married to Julian Ozanne for two years, splitting in 2006.
